was founded in 2003 by Robert Giordano, a resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Before starting his own
company, Robert worked as a technician in a photo lab, a photographer at a major newspaper, a photo editor for
several local magazines, and a web developer for two media companies. He saw a need for high quality,
commercial photography and web design techniques that kept up with evolving technology. In 2006, Robert
received official recognition from the W3C for his standards based,
educational web site about Edgar Allan Poe, PoeStories.com. Out
of all the web design firms in the world, few can claim this honor.

Design215 combines web standards with studio photography. We take imagination and
turn it into functionality. We help artists and other creative individuals by providing them
with images and tools to make their efforts successful. We help businesses grow by improving
the look of their products and expanding their presence on the internet.
We are the link between programmers and artists. We think simplicity is beautiful. This applies to images, interfaces, and code. We are designers and inventors.

Because it makes sense. Digital photography has become the standard for advertising, whether it's
your face or your products you are trying to sell. Producing high quality digital images requires
more than an understanding of photography. It requires experience and skill using computers,
software, color correction, file compression, scanners, output devices, and so on. A good web
designer already has the skill set necessary to understand digital imaging. Unfortunately, few
web designers have the skills, experience, and equipment necessary to produce their own professional
Design215 simply brings the two together under one roof. Digital photography and web design use much of the same technology. Web designers and graphic artists reply on great images for effective layouts. If we're working on a client's web site and we need images, we shoot them. Since we are designing the site, we have a clear understanding of the images we need. We save the client time and money.

Design215 is proud to support our local community. While many web design firms outsource their programming or
web development needs overseas, Design215 does everything "in house". This means you can
meet with us and talk face to face with the person who is photographing your products or writing
the code for your web site. It means your intellectual property is secure and is never given to a
third party, in another country. If we need help from a third party, we have a number of trusted, local
artists that contract with us from time to time.
Don't live in South Florida? Come visit us! We have clients in California, New York, England, and even Australia. Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach are all popular tourist destinations. All three have major airports and sea ports. Millions of people visit our beautiful beaches, resorts, and restaurants each year. Fort Lauderdale is known as the yachting capital of the world and the Venice of America. Perhaps this is why West Marine, a company based in California, decided to build their largest, flagship store here, and hired Design215 to create this time lapse film.
