The first day of Ultra Music Festival 11 was absolutely perfect! The weather was beautiful, the performances were all amazing and the fans were friendly. The people at Ultra hired me once again to capture the event with photos and you can see some of the results here. Its definitely a lot of FUN shooting the Ultra Music Festival each year but its also a LOT of work. In addition to the main stage where the Black Eyed Peas and Tiesto played, there was a second, large outdoor stage and two huge tents. If that wasn't enough, there are several smaller stages offering even more entertainment. Its not easy to make your way back and forth through the huge crowds to photograph as many of the performances as possible. I also try to photograph and interact with as many fans of the event as possible because so many of them put hours of effort into their colorful outfits. No matter how much work it is, I always love it!

"wonderful! wonderful! the extravagance of some of the looks at ultra remind me of the 'fruits' and 'fresh fruits' books published by Phaidon--fun. i love the sexy dancers from the main stage, and their shades. the angles on the first image of the girls, and the one of the crazy backstage dancers are great. that shoe! RAH! yes. looking forward to next year already. :)"
